Cove Park's Awarded Residencies offer fully funded time for research, creative development, and new work at a stunning 50-acre rural site on the west coast of Scotland. Residencies run between May 2027 and December 2028, ranging from two weeks to three months (average four weeks).

For this round, applications are open to individuals, collectives, and collaborative groups based in Scotland and the UK, or in Central and South America. Artists from the Central and South American diaspora living in Europe or North America are also eligible, as are people born in Scotland but living elsewhere in the world.

Residents receive a weekly fee of £775, a travel allowance (up to £1,250 for international travel), a materials allowance of up to £150, and support with visa applications where needed. Cove Park encourages slow travel — by train, bus, or ferry — and can include that travel time within the funded residency period.

On site, residents have access to private accommodation (self-catering, family-friendly), private studios, shared workspace and meeting areas, a library, rehearsal room, kiln, piano, and the full support of Cove Park's team. Up to 14 residents are hosted at any one time, creating a lively, interdisciplinary community with informal peer events, studio visits, dinners, talks, and screenings.

Cove Park particularly welcomes applications from artists engaging with the impacts of climate breakdown, sound artists and musicians (a new Sound Studio is in development), and artists whose work explores ideas of home, displacement, belonging, place, and language — including Scots, Gaelic, and BSL — in connection with Cove Park's current project *Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll*.

A final presentation is not required. The programme values experimentation, ambition, and urgency over public outcomes.

Applications are submitted via an online form and must include a 500-word statement, biography, CV, and documentation of work (up to 8 images, video, audio, or writing samples). Generative AI must not be used in applications. Audio or video submissions are accepted in place of written applications. An Application Access Bursary is available for those facing barriers due to disability or neurodivergence — requests must be submitted by 30 November 2026.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified by 12 February 2027, with interviews held via Zoom during the week of 22 February 2027.
