Fibre Gallery — Aotearoa New Zealand's first distinctly Moana-focused gallery — is calling for exhibition proposals for their 2027 programme, based at 1/285 Cashel Street in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Fibre is dedicated to showcasing community-engaged, digital, and heritage artworks by Pacific Moana creatives, and this open call welcomes proposals from Pacific artists, groups, and collectives working across all disciplines. They particularly encourage expressions of interest from Moana creatives based in Te Wai Pounamu, Whaikaha communities, and artists living in South Pacific islands outside of Aotearoa.

**What to include in your proposal:**
- A single PDF document with either a written outline (350–750 words) or an audio/audiovisual file (maximum five minutes) describing your project — this could cover concept, art form, curatorial intention, or exhibition context
- Visual representation of the concept where appropriate
- Public programme ideas to complement the exhibition (e.g. panel discussions, workshops, performances)
- Specific technical requirements and a project timeline
- A gallery floor plan is included in the application document
- Creative CV, examples of previous work (up to 10 images), and artist biography or CV (max 2 pages)
- An indication of your target communities and how you'll promote the exhibition
- An itemised budget for materials (Fibre can contribute up to $3,500 ex. GST, including any technical services or equipment beyond what's available on-site)

**Support for selected artists includes:**
- Curatorial guidance and technical assistance
- Promotional and logistical support
- Exhibition-led public programming
- Up to $3,500 contribution towards production costs
- Artist fee of $1,000 (or $1,500 for a collective)
- Transport and accommodation support up to $1,000
