I was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1971. I now live and work from my studio set on an avocado orchard in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. I have been an exhibiting artist since 1998 and have had eleven solo exhibitions and many joint shows in New Zealand and in the USA. My work is in private and public collections in New Zealand, Europe and the USA including the John Deere Art collection in Moline, Illinois. A modernist influence mixed with New Zealand culture is evident in my paintings and gives them a truly unique flavour. Aesthetics is always high on the agenda, I paint to please the eye and draw the viewer in. As well considering symbolism, meaning and making statements, I make art that captures the majesty of the environment that we live in.
