The New Zealand Art Crime Research Trust invites abstracts for its 2026 Art Crime Symposium, to be held at the Auckland Art Gallery on Saturday 19 September 2026. The theme for this year is 'The Cost of Art Crime'.

Presentation slots are 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for Q&A. The Trust is particularly keen to receive papers across the following areas:

  • Conservation
  • Public Art
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Indigenous Art

While the Trust is a New Zealand organisation, papers with a global focus and reach are warmly welcomed.

**To apply**, please email

  • A 250-word abstract
  • A 300-word biography
  • Your contact details

Send everything to Penelope Jackson, Chair of the NZACRT, at arthistorian@outlook.co.nz by 1 June 2026.
