The Fish Factory Creative Centre, in partnership with Studio Silo, offers a dedicated Music Residency in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland. The program invites composers, producers, and bands of all genres to develop new work in a uniquely equipped coastal arts hub, providing focused time and space alongside a vibrant community of visual artists. What's Provided: Private bedroom with shared kitchen, lounge, and bathroom facilities. 24/7 building access, including continuous use of the Concert Hall for rehearsals, informal performances, and recording with natural acoustics. Access to on-site music equipment and instruments (pianos, keyboards, guitars, drum kits, amplifiers, and backline). Limited access to the Live Room at Studio Silo at no extra cost (must be arranged in advance with the Studio Engineer). Airport pickup on the first or second day and drop-off on the last day from Egilsstaðir Airport (aligned with morning Reykjavík flights). Potential opportunities to organise a public concert or presentation in the region. Residency Fees & Artist Responsibilities: Artists are responsible for their own gear, travel, travel insurance, meals, and personal expenses. Standard Fee: 200,000 ISK (approx. $2,720 NZD) per period for one person. Additional Participants: 160,000 ISK (approx. $2,175 NZD) flat fee for each additional group member. Short Residencies (Jan & Dec 2026, Dec 2027): 150,000 ISK (approx. $2,040 NZD) per period. Short Residency (Jan 2027): 140,000 ISK (approx. $1,900 NZD) per period. Note: Booking the full Studio Silo and engineer (Vinny Wood) for dedicated days is optional and costs an additional 120,000 ISK (approx. $1,630 NZD) per day.
