The 12th Hibiscus and Bays Art Awards is a premier regional competition open to all New Zealand residents aged 16 and over. Hosted at the Mairangi Arts Centre, this award celebrates a diverse range of artistic practices, with no restrictions on size or medium (excluding giclée prints). All submitted works must be original and completed within the last 12 months. The awards offer significant incentives, including three Outstanding Artists Awards of $1,000 each and the Te Herenga Waka o Orewa Māori Art Award of $500. Winners also receive a prestigious opportunity to hold a group exhibition at Mairangi Arts Centre in 2027.
