About

Italy's longest-running tech art award, inviting international artists to explore the theme of 'Popular Singularity' with a €2,500 prize.

The Share Prize is now in its 18th edition, making it Italy's longest-running award dedicated to innovative work in the international contemporary tech art scene. This year's theme is 'Popular Singularity' — the festival is looking for art about the Singularity that is clear, sincere, immediate, and accessible: a kind of folk art for a technological moment, free from jargon and AI-slop.

Eligible categories include video art, generative art, augmented reality, algorithmic art, digital art, kinetic art, net art, and hybrid works that combine analogue and digital technologies. Both Italian and international artists and collectives are welcome to apply.

Six shortlisted works will be exhibited at Share Festival XX during Turin Contemporary Art Week (29 October – 2 November 2026). The jury will award a cash prize of €2,500 (gross) to the winning work. The Sharing Association will arrange transport and installation of selected works, and will endeavour to cover shortlisted artists' living expenses in Turin within available budget.

Important to note: only completed works will be considered — unrealised projects will not be accepted. Each artist or collective may submit up to three works. Submissions documented solely via social media will not be accepted. Use URLs to personal websites, YouTube, or Vimeo rather than WeTransfer.

To apply, complete the online form on the Share Project website — one form per work. You'll need to provide contact details, the work's title, a description (max 1,000 characters), a technical description of technologies used (max 500 characters), an artist bio (max 1,000 characters), and a permanent URL to your work.

The shortlist will be announced in July 2026. Application is free.
