About
A 12-week residency in a heritage-listed setting offering dedicated studio space, an honorarium, and mentorship for writers at any career stage.
(Studio)LAB is a flexible, six-month residency framework designed for artists in the G21 region to experiment and expand their practice within a dedicated studio environment. The program bridges the gap between material practice and career progression through a mix of technical support and professional development. The residency prioritises research, open dialogue, and the exploration of the boundaries of contemporary regional art. Key Details: The Grant: $2,000 artist stipend. Duration: 6-month residency (May 4 — October 30, 2026), with studio access extended until December 18. Inclusions: * Shared on-site studio space. First Nations-led cultural education sessions. 6 facilitated development sessions and a mid-residency intensive. Fortnightly studio crits and artist lunches. In-house technical, producing, and marketing support. Eligibility: Supporting artists across all career stages and disciplines within the G21 regional area.
