About

Open call for female artists to exhibit work exploring permanence, memory, and transformation in a curated group exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.

GEDOK Frankfurt Rhein-Main invites female artists from Germany and internationally to apply for "Always and Forever," a curated group exhibition exploring themes of permanence, continuity, memory, and transformation.

The theme encourages wide-ranging interpretations — from intimate personal narratives to historical, ecological, or societal perspectives. Artists are asked to engage critically with ideas of time, repetition, legacy, and resilience, and how permanence is perceived in an ever-changing world.

Selected works will be exhibited in Frankfurt as part of a professionally curated group show, with an emphasis on dialogue between traditional and experimental practices across disciplines.

What you'll gain:

  • Participation in a curated group exhibition at a respected German institution
  • Professional exposure within the GEDOK network and partner institutions
  • Inclusion in exhibition promotional materials
  • Networking with curators, art professionals, and a community of women artists

Who can apply:

This open call is open to female artists, both emerging and established, working across visual art and interdisciplinary practices. International applicants are welcome (subject to GEDOK membership or collaboration guidelines).

How to apply:

Submit a single PDF to info@gedokfrankfurtrheinmain.de including:

  • Artist CV
  • Portfolio of recent works
  • Project description or statement relating to the theme "Always and Forever"
  • Contact details

Artists are encouraged to propose works that conceptually engage with the theme, rather than submitting unrelated existing pieces. Interdisciplinary and experimental approaches are warmly welcomed.

No entry fee required.
