About
Submit your animal-themed drawings (in any style) for a virtual exhibition via Artsteps. Free to submit, and no commission is taken on sales.
The Animal Artspace is an online space dedicated to showcasing contemporary animal art through virtual exhibitions and an artist directory. The space aims to celebrate the variety and abundance of animal art being created today by artists at all levels and stages of their creative careers. We are currently looking for artwork to feature in our 4th online/virtual exhibition: DRAWING. The exhibition will run from mid-April to mid-June (exact dates TBC) and will be hosted via Artsteps (VR Exhibition), our website, and our social media channels. What We Are Looking For: Medium: Artwork must be entirely or mostly created in a drawing material (pencil, pastel, pen, ink, charcoal, colour pencil, digital drawing, etc). Artwork generated by AI will NOT be accepted. Style: Any style can be submitted (realistic, impressionist, abstract, etc). Subject: Works must include an animal. This can be any animal, and they do not have to be the main focus of the piece. Format: Your work should be photographed in good lighting, un-edited, un-framed, and cropped to the edges of the artwork. Volume: Up to 3 submissions per artist (please complete a separate form for each artwork). Fees & Sales: Submission Fee: Free. Participation Fee: £5 GBP (approx. $11 NZD) per selected piece. You only pay this fee if your work is selected for the exhibition. (If you want to submit 2 or 3 pieces and they are all selected, the fee scales to £10 or £15 GBP). Commission: 0%. No commission is taken. Artwork can be listed for sale, and prospective buyers will be directed straight to the artist for sales inquiries. What the Participation Fee Covers: Up to 3 pieces of work included in the exhibition. Design and set up of the virtual reality exhibition hosted via Artsteps (averaging 200-300 views). Set up of an image gallery on the Animal Artspace website. Promotional material design and marketing via Instagram. An individual artist profile post on Instagram during the exhibition (averaging around 10,000 views per exhibition).
