About
Open call for visual and text submissions for the Summer 2026 print issue of Artists' Drawings Magazine — no theme, free to submit.
Artists' Drawings Magazine is calling for submissions for its second print issue, due out in Summer 2026. The magazine is dedicated to drawing in all its forms — from exploratory sketches and process-driven studies to finished works and instructional diagrams.
There is no set theme for this issue. Submissions are welcome from artists, writers, and anyone with a genuine interest in drawing, anywhere in the world.
Visual submissions can include exploratory sketches, studies, diagrams, instructions, or finished drawings. You may submit up to three drawings, and all work must be your own or works for which you hold the copyright. Images should be high-resolution JPEGs (300dpi), with files named in the format: FirstnameSurnameImage1.
Text submissions should be 750 words or fewer (including notes) and must be original, previously unpublished writing. Suitable topics include discussion of a specific drawing or drawing practice, broader social or political issues related to drawing, or reviews and responses to drawing-focused exhibitions from 2025 or 2026. Longer texts and unfinished drafts will not be considered. If your text references copyrighted images, you'll need to provide source information — note that texts may be declined if reproduction fees are too costly.
All selected contributors will receive a free print copy of the magazine. Submission is free.
Visual and text submissions are made via separate Google Forms, available on the Artists' Drawings website. The deadline is Wednesday, 29 April 2026 at 5:00 PM (BST).
