About
Two-week immersive residencies at a French château near Le Mans and a Georgian manor in Ireland's Ring of Kerry, open to artists worldwide.
Atelier Artist in Residence is offering multiple 2-week residential programmes in 2026 across two stunning European locations — a sprawling French château near Le Mans, and a Georgian manor on the edge of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way in the Ring of Kerry.
These residencies are designed to give artists uninterrupted time and space to go deep into their practice, away from the distractions of everyday life. Each session accommodates a small, curated group of artists across disciplines including painting, writing, photography, music, poetry, illustration, digital art, textiles, printmaking, and small-scale sculpture.
What's included:
- Private bedroom accommodation
- Access to shared and private studio spaces
- Chef-prepared group dinners each evening
- Fresh morning deliveries from the local boulangerie
- Fully stocked breakfast and lunch provisions
- Organised day trips to local villages, galleries, historic sites, and markets
Programme costs:
- France sessions: $2,800 USD
- Ireland sessions: $3,700 USD
- Payment plans are available
- No grants or scholarships are offered — artists requiring financial support should seek outside funding
What's not included: Transport to/from the residency location, alcohol, art materials, and any costs associated with activities outside the scheduled programme.
