Awesome Foundation Monthly Micro-Grants

The Awesome Foundation is a global community dedicated to supporting brilliant, surprising, and delightful projects — one $1,000 grant at a time.

Each month, autonomous local chapters award micro-grants of $1,000 (or the local equivalent) to individuals, groups, or organisations working on projects that embody 'awesome.' Grants are funded directly from the pockets of chapter trustees and come with no strings attached — the Foundation claims no ownership over any project it supports.

Think of it as a micro-genius grant for flashes of micro-brilliance.

Every chapter defines 'awesome' in its own way, so supported projects span a wide range: arts, technology, community development, experimental ideas, and more. Many funded projects are novel or unconventional — the kind that evoke surprise, challenge assumptions, and inspire people.

Anyone can apply — individuals, collectives, and organisations alike. If you can fill out the application form, you're eligible. Applications are accepted on a rolling monthly basis through each chapter's page on the Awesome Foundation website.
