Beyond Horizons - Stoberry Park Garden Sculpture Exhibition

Beyond Horizons is a new curated outdoor sculpture exhibition taking place at Stoberry Park Garden, a private garden in Wells, Somerset. Opening to the public for a limited season from September 5th to October 4th, 2026, this is the first of an intended annual event. The exhibition aims to create a rich and memorable dialogue between contemporary sculpture and the natural environment. The 5 1/2 acre garden is planted sympathetically within its landscape, providing breathtaking vistas overlooking the City of Wells, its cathedral, Glastonbury Tor, and the Vale of Avalon. The varied setting includes open lawns, artistic planting, wildlife ponds, and intimate spaces, allowing for a diverse range of work in scale and approach. Eligibility & Criteria Submissions are open to both emerging and established artists working in sculpture and installation. The curatorial team is particularly interested in work that: • Responds thoughtfully to a natural or garden environment. • Demonstrates strong visual presence and originality. • Engages with space, landscape, light, or seasonal change. • Is durable and suitable for outdoor display (though specific pieces may be placed in covered areas). Key Dates & Logistics • Notification: Selected artists notified by the end of April 2026. • Installation: July / August 2026. • Private View: Friday, 4th September 2026 (Invitation only). • Exhibition Dates: 5th September – 4th October 2026. • De-installation: Week commencing 5th October 2026. • Sales: All work must be available for sale, or artists must accept commissions. A 35% commission applies to each artwork sold and each commission generated.
