Bodies Luminous: Poetry Reimagined. Call for art celebrating the body. Women & non-binary artists. Chicago.

Woman Made Gallery seeks submissions from women and non-binary artists for an exhibition and literary magazine issue inspired by Diamond Forde’s poem, “fat girl Dances with a Stranger at a Block Party.” The project explores complicated and evolving relationships with the body, specifically seeking works that celebrate the body through expressions of joy, hope, and luminosity. Eligible mediums include all visual arts. New media is accepted (mp4/URL under 10 mins). Works previously exhibited at WMG are ineligible. Artists must address the theme in both the artwork and the required artist statement. Technical Requirements: Medium: All mediums. New media accepted. Quantity: Up to 3 works. Size/Weight: Max 6ft width; max 75 lbs (unless artist handles delivery). New Media: Digital transfer and USB (.mp4) required if accepted.
