Call for Artists: "Message" International Exhibition

CICA Museum invites artists from around the world to submit work for "Message", an international group exhibition exploring themes of meaning, communication, language, perception, and contemporary social and cultural contexts.

The exhibition welcomes works that question the role of language and symbols, examine personal and collective forms of communication, and explore the relationships among media, memory, technology, and social interaction.

Categories accepted:

• Photography & 2D Digital Art
• Video & Interactive Art
• Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, and Installation Art)

Installation details:

• *Photography & 2D Digital Art:* Selected works will be printed at 10×15 or 10×10 inches, framed, and installed by the CICA team. Different sizes are available on request (additional fees may apply).
• *Video & Interactive Art:* Projectors and media players are provided. Multiple single-channel works may share a projector. Works requiring exclusive projection or more than two projectors/monitors may incur additional fees.
• *Physical Works:* Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from CICA Museum. 2D works must not exceed 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side; installations must be no larger than 39×39×79 inches (1×1×2 m, w×l×h). Wall-mounted works must not exceed 10 kg. Works exceeding these limits may be considered — please note this in your submission email.

How to apply:

Email up to 3 video links and/or up to 5 JPG images (100–500 KB recommended), along with your bio, to submission@cicamuseum.com. Use the subject line: "Submission: Message – [Category] – [Artist's Name]".

If selected, artists contribute $78 USD (or ₩110,000 KRW) per piece towards show processing and maintenance costs.

Exhibition dates: 2 – 20 December 2026 (subject to change).
