About
Global illustration and art competition open to all ages using Copic products, with cash prizes up to $1,500 USD and a guaranteed paid commission.
The COPIC AWARD 2026 is a global art competition run by Too Marker Products Inc., celebrating creativity and community among Copic enthusiasts worldwide. Open to anyone regardless of age, nationality, gender, or experience level, this competition welcomes both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works — as long as they're made using Copic products.
There's no set theme, so you're free to create whatever inspires you. Works must be entirely original and created by you — generative AI is strictly prohibited. Fragile base materials like ceramic and glass are not accepted, and physical works must be no larger than 420mm x 297mm x 300mm and weigh no more than 5kg.
Awards include:
- Grand Prize (1 winner): $1,500 USD, a complete 358-colour Copic Sketch set in an acrylic case, an exclusive interview, trophy, art book, and a guaranteed paid commission.
- Second Prize (2 winners): $1,000 USD, a complete 358-colour Copic Sketch set, interview, trophy, and art book.
- Future Generation Art Prize (for artists 18 and under): Grand Prize winner receives a 358-colour set, trophy, and book. An additional 100 youth winners receive a special edition set.
- Judges' Awards (5 winners): Special Edition Copic Set with a judge's autograph and trophy.
- Finalists (50 entries): Special edition COPIC AWARD 2026 set and a commemorative art book.
Entry is completely free. Finalists will be required to physically ship their original artwork to Japan — applicants cover shipping and insurance costs, but the organiser will cover return shipping.
To enter, register on the official COPIC AWARD website and upload up to three .jpg images of your work (max 5MB each). Note: the organisers recommend avoiding free webmail addresses like Gmail or Yahoo when registering, as confirmation emails may be filtered as spam.
