Louis Johnson New Writer's Bursary

The Louis Johnson New Writer's Bursary is an annual $25,000 bursary supporting a published writer or playwright who is at an early stage of their career to develop and create new work.

This year, the bursary is offered through the Creative Fellowship Fund – Round 2. To be considered, you simply apply for a Creative Fellowship through Creative New Zealand – you do not need to specifically reference the Louis Johnson New Writer's Bursary in your application.
