About

Free international drawing awards open to all creatives, with top works exhibited at London Creates in July 2026.

Drawing of the Year 2026 is a free, international awards programme celebrating the very best in creative drawing across architecture, design, and beyond. Open to anyone aged 18 or over, you can submit up to 5 drawings per entry — and enter as many times as you like.

All drawing types and styles are welcome, whether hand-drawn, digital, or mixed technique. Presentation boards are not eligible — individual drawings only. Submissions must be .jpg or .jpeg files, max 10MB each. Group-authored works are accepted provided all contributors are credited and have given permission.

While descriptions aren't mandatory, including context for your drawing is strongly encouraged to help judges understand your work. The judging process is fully anonymous — judges only receive drawing titles, descriptions, and workflow information, with no personal details shared.

Importantly, the Awards are committed to recognising human creativity. Work where AI is the primary method of creation may be deemed ineligible, and failure to disclose AI use may result in disqualification. Shortlisted and finalist entrants may be asked to demonstrate their creative process.

All entrants are automatically considered across all award categories — no need to self-select. Past judges have included representatives from Foster + Partners, RSHP, Zaha Hadid Architects, Hayes Davidson, and the London Festival of Architecture.

Top works will be selected for exhibition at London Creates, the flagship annual exhibition held 16–26 July 2026 at The Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, London. Entry to the exhibition is free. Winners will be announced at the opening on 16 July, with full results published throughout Awards Month in August 2026.

Deadline: 23:59 GMT, 31 May 2026.
