Grants of up to $50,000 for Visual Arts and Science & Technology projects benefiting the Manawatū and Rangitīkei region.
The Earle Creativity Trust, established by Richard and Mary Earle, supports innovative and creative projects in the Manawatū and Rangitīkei region. In even-numbered years (like 2026), the Trust distributes $50,000 for Visual Arts and a further $50,000 for Science & Technology projects, with a minimum grant of $5,000.
Grants are awarded to projects that demonstrate genuine creativity and innovation, and have practical relevance and benefit to the local region. If your work is rooted in this community and pushes ideas forward, this could be a great fit.
In odd-numbered years, the Trust instead funds Literature & History and Music — so 2027 will be the next round for those disciplines.
How to apply: Applications must be submitted online via the Earle Creativity Trust website at www.earletrust.org.nz/how-to-apply. Applications close at 5pm on the first Monday of September. Successful applicants will be notified in November.
