The Book Project: Street

Black Box Gallery is excited to announce a juried call for entry for a published hardbound photography book on Street Photography. The gallery is looking for visual studies of everyday life captured on the streets or in public places, featuring chance encounters and random moments. The project will be juried by Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery. Publication Details: The gallery will select 10 photographers for this project. Each selected photographer will have 5 photographs printed as a focused representation of their work. The large 12" x 12" square hardbound photography book will be printed by Blurb Books and available for purchase on the Black Box Gallery website. Usage & Archives: Files provided by accepted photographers will only be used for the book printing. All rights to the photographs remain with the photographer. Submission Guidelines & Fees: Entry Fee: $40 USD (approx. $68 NZD) per entry via PayPal. Volume: One entry includes up to 10 photos, with a minimum of 5 images required. How to Apply: After paying the entry fee, send an email to info.blackboxgallery@gmail.com with the subject line "Street". Email Body: Include the Call for Entry Name, Your Name (as it would be published), Instagram/Website (optional), and the titles of your included photos with corresponding file names. File Specs: Attach up to 10 JPEG files, sized to 1200 pixels on the longest side at 72 PPI, 5 MB or less each. File Naming: firstname_lastname1.jpg, firstname_lastname2.jpg, etc.
