About
Open call for women and nonbinary artists to exhibit work exploring feminist history, activism, and futures at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago.
Woman Made Gallery (WMG) — one of the longest continually operating feminist art spaces in the United States — is seeking submissions for *Feminism 250: Woman Made America*, a group exhibition timed to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The exhibition looks back at the long history of feminist movements, activism, and cultural resistance, inviting work that explores themes including the struggle for visibility, intersectionality (gender, race, class, disability, and migration), personal narratives, and visions for a feminist future.
Eligibility
Open strictly to women and nonbinary artists at all career stages. Submitted work must be fully original — submissions that primarily use AI image-generation tools or AI-generated text will not be accepted. Artwork previously exhibited at Woman Made Gallery is not eligible for this show.
Artwork requirements
Multidisciplinary works accepted, including 2D, 3D, mixed media, and new media. Artworks cannot exceed 6 feet in width or weigh more than 75 pounds, unless the artist is able to personally drop off and pick up the work.
