About
A $20,000 biennial art prize in McLaren Vale, SA, open to 2D and 3D artists exploring the theme 'A Sense of Place'.
The Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize 2026 invites artists working in 2D and 3D mediums to submit works that actively explore the theme 'A Sense of Place.' This is a wonderful opportunity to have your work seen in one of South Australia's most celebrated wine and arts regions.
Selected finalists will be exhibited across two venues in McLaren Vale: the Fleurieu Arthouse in the heart of the town, and the Stump Hill Gallery at the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre. The exhibition runs from 5 June to 5 July 2026.
There are four prize categories up for grabs
- The Fleurieu Art Prize – $20,000 AUD
- Emerging Artists Prize – $5,000 AUD
- People's Choice Award – $2,500 AUD
- Curator's Choice Prize – $2,000 AUD (awarded within the Stump Hill Gallery exhibition)
Please note that all submitted works must have been created after 1 January 2025 — older works are not eligible. Entries open online on 16 March 2026 and close at midnight on 12 April 2026. Apply through the official online portal at artprize.com.au.
