About

A 60-day glass art residency in Sars-Poteries, France, open to international artists and collectives exploring the theme 'Interior / Exterior'.

MusVerre is inviting glass artists and collectives (up to three members) to apply for a 60-day residency at its celebrated museum and workshop in Sars-Poteries, northern France. The 2026 programme is especially significant — the museum is marking 50 years of its glass workshop, 40 years since the archaeological discovery of local potteries, and a decade of its contemporary museum architecture.

The residency runs from 1 September to 5 December 2026, and is centred on the theme 'Interior / Exterior' — an invitation to engage with the MusVerre site, its architecture, surrounding landscapes, collections, and the material qualities of glass itself. Artists may pursue creative, experimental, or research-driven projects using the museum's fully equipped glass workshop, which includes hot and cold working, sandblasting, assembling, and plastering facilities.

Residents will be supported throughout by the MusVerre workshop team and external jury experts. At least one participant in any collective must have expertise in a glass-related discipline. Projects conclude with a public exhibition at MusVerre's temporary exhibition space, L'Echappée, from February to May 2027, with a potential showing at Pavillon Fourmarier in Chaudfontaine, Belgium, during the Five Seasons Festival from June to September 2027.
