About

Open call for an exhibition in London exploring Materiality, with 80 selected works shown at The Handbag Factory in Vauxhall, plus prizes, residencies, and ment

No Place Art invites artists worldwide to submit work responding to the theme of Materiality for their second edition — an exploration of physical presence in art: the substances works are made from, how those materials behave, and how they contribute to meaning, whether physically, conceptually, or processually.

80 selected works will be exhibited at The Handbag Factory in Vauxhall, London, from 17–27 September 2026.

Who can apply?

Artists aged 18 or over, at any career stage, from anywhere in the world. Works must have been completed within the last three years.

What can you submit?

Works in Printmaking, Painting, or Mixed Media. You may submit up to 5 works, with a maximum of 3 selected. Artworks must not exceed 2m x 2m (including frame). Printmaking works must be professionally framed; painters are not required to frame unless necessary. Metal or clip-frame mechanisms are not permitted. All artworks must be wrapped in an ArtPakk fabric bag or a handmade mylar/insulation bag — standard plastic waste is strictly prohibited. Selected artists receive a 50% discount on ArtPakk bags.

All submitted works must be available for sale. No Place Art takes a 30% commission on any sales made.
