About

FLINTA photographers worldwide can apply for a fully produced photobook with Replika Publishing, plus a Berlin launch event with travel covered.

The Sonntag Grant for Photography, in collaboration with Replika Publishing, is inviting FLINTA (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans, agender) photographers from around the world to submit projects for a photobook open call.

This opportunity is specifically designed to support artists and projects that might not otherwise find a path to publication — work with conceptual depth, material inquiry, and artistic dialogue at its heart. Projects that challenge the boundaries of the book as a form are especially welcome.

What you receive:

  • A fully produced photobook published by Replika Publishing (minimum print run of 350 copies, with 50 copies going to the selected artist)
  • A book launch event hosted at Bildband Berlin
  • Travel costs up to €600 and accommodation covered for the launch

Who can apply:

Anyone who identifies as FLINTA. Submissions are open globally.

What to prepare:

  • A short biography (max 200 words)
  • A project description (max 500 words)
  • A download link containing 15–20 low-resolution images (72 dpi) from your project, plus any dummy or supporting material if available

Projects should be finished or at an advanced stage of development. The selected artist will work collaboratively with Replika Publishing throughout the book-making process, including editorial feedback and direction.

Submission fee: €10 (paid by credit card). You'll receive an order number to include with your application form.

All applicants will be notified within 2–3 months of the closing date.
