About

The Homiens Art Prize is an international award open to all artists, offering a $1,000 USD cash prize and a seasonal exhibition to three winning artists.

Homiens is an international art gallery by artists, for artists and collectors. The Homiens Art Prize is a meritocratic and prestigious gateway to significant industry recognition, awarding over $12,000 USD in annual unrestricted funding. This non-acquisitive prize (ownership is retained by the artist) serves as a catalyst for measurable professional growth. Prizes & Benefits: In this round, 3 winning artists and 12 finalists will exhibit with Homiens as part of the seasonal exhibition program. Winners: Each winning artist receives an unrestricted cash award of $1,000 USD (approx. $1,700 NZD). Winners also participate in The Art of Art: Interviews (an artist interview series) and may request a letter of recommendation from the jurors. Finalists & Commended Artists: Up to 200 artists per round are highly commended and celebrated across Homiens media channels, including the website and extensive mailing list. Additional Benefits: All entrants may request a certificate of participation. Eligibility & Guidelines: Open to all artists globally. (Artist representatives may submit on behalf of artists). All artworks, mediums, and art forms are accepted (including painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, installation, and audiovisual). Artworks completed in any year are eligible. There are no theme or size restrictions. Video and sound-based works may be of a duration up to 30 minutes. Application Fees: Early Bird Rate (Expires March 31): $30 USD (approx. $51 NZD) to enter 1 artwork, and a $20 USD (approx. $34 NZD) fee to enter each additional artwork thereafter. Artists may enter as many times as they wish. Selection is based on uploaded images or links (up to 3 images per artwork entered). Physical works are not accepted for the submission process.
