Open Call For Artwork 2026

Insecta Collective CIC invites artists of all ages and abilities from anywhere in the world to submit climate and biodiversity themed artwork for their upcoming physical and digital exhibition.

Work will be shown both online and in person at their Leicester gallery. Submissions of any medium are welcome, though artwork should be no larger than 90cm on its longest side. Please note there is very limited capacity for 3D and moving image/video work in the physical gallery — if you wish to submit sculpture or video, please enter the online exhibition only.

Entry is free for artists aged 18 and under. Adults pay £5 per work, with a maximum of three artworks per person.

Six winners (three per age category) will be announced by 10th August and will receive a certificate, a featured Artist Spotlight on the Insecta Collective website and social media, plus digital arts supplies vouchers:

• First prize: £30 voucher
• Second prize: £20 voucher
• Third prize: £10 voucher

Artwork will be judged by a team of creative practitioners on concept, skill, beauty, originality, and impact.

To enter, complete the submission form and upload images of your work. Make sure to read through the terms and conditions carefully before submitting — a PDF copy will also be sent to you on receipt of your submission.

Funds raised through entry fees and artwork sales contribute to future events run by Insecta Collective, a Leicester-based non-profit collective using art as a gateway to community climate and biodiversity action.
