Strange Figurations

SlowArt Productions invites artists to submit work for Strange Figurations, a thematic group exhibition to be held at the Limner Gallery in New York from September 3–26, 2026.

The exhibition is open to all interpretations of the theme — surreal, visionary, and extraordinary figurative art in any medium is welcome. Eligible work includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, digital art, installation, and video.

The show is open to artists nationally and internationally, aged 18 and over. Wall-mounted works must not exceed 72" tall or 120" wide; sculptural works must fit through a 36" wide door.

Selected works will be featured in the physical gallery exhibition and promoted on the Limner Gallery website and social media channels. Works may be offered for sale or not — if sold, the gallery takes a 35% commission, with pricing set by the artist.

Entry Fees:

• $35 USD for 1–4 artworks
• $5 USD per additional artwork beyond four
• 2D artwork details count as an additional entry
• Sculptors may submit one additional view per work at no extra cost
• No further fees are charged to accepted artists

All entries are submitted via email as attached JPG files (no ZIP files), with images up to approximately 2500 pixels on the longest side. Video entries may be submitted via a Vimeo or YouTube link. Payment is accepted by credit/debit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

Artists will be notified of results no later than July 31, 2026, via email or postal mail.

Artists retain all copyright to their submitted images and artwork.
