Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board / Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Arts
Community arts funding for creative projects and events in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu area, supported by an Arts Broker who helps ideas take shape.
Got a creative idea you'd love to make happen in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu? This fund is here to help you get it off the ground — and it's deliberately designed to meet you where you're at.
You don't need a polished proposal or a fully formed plan. If it's still just a thought, that's often the best time to get in touch. Renée Tanner, the Arts Broker for Māngere-Ōtāhuhu, is here to help you develop your idea — whether that means funding, finding a venue, connecting you with an audience, or linking you up with the right people to collaborate with.
Funding is available for creative projects and events that will happen in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board area between October 2026 and June 2027. Applications close Friday 4 September 2026.
If the timing doesn't suit your project, don't let that stop you from reaching out. The Arts Broker actively tries to shape the fund around what artists are doing, rather than the other way round. A short email is all it takes to start a conversation.
Applications are made through a friendly online form asking about you, your idea, where and when it would happen, and what kind of support would help most — including whether you're looking for funding, a venue, an audience, or something else entirely. Budget documents and supporting materials like photos, video, or links to past work are welcome but not required.
This fund is supported by the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board. For more information, visit mangereotahuhuarts.org.nz.
