Paid residency in Frankfurt for performing arts and music artists to collaborate with scientists and researchers at a leading aesthetics research institute.
The INHABIT residency programme at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics brings artists from the performing arts and music to Frankfurt, Germany, to collaborate with a team of scientists and researchers. The programme runs across two periods in 2027: April–July (INHABIT #16) and September–December (INHABIT #17).
The Institute believes that artistic thinking and practice are valuable reflective disciplines in their own right, and the residency creates a genuinely productive space for artists and scientists to learn from and challenge one another.
They're looking for artists who are curious about interdisciplinary exchange, open to developing a shareable project — whether that's a performance, concert, exhibition, or other format — and actively engaged with contemporary culture.
