Neuwerk eG / Cultural Office of the City of Konstanz
A 2-month studio residency and exhibition opportunity for emerging contemporary artists and designers at Lake Constance, Germany.
The Neuwerk Lake Residency is a new programme for emerging contemporary artists and designers, launched by Neuwerk eG in partnership with the Cultural Office of the City of Konstanz. The first residency runs from 1 May to 30 June 2027, offering two months of focused studio time in a bright, 116 m² studio within the Neuwerk building.
The residency is designed to provide time and space for concentrated creative work, new perspectives, and interdisciplinary exchange — connecting regional and international artistic practices with the cultural life of Konstanz and the broader Lake Constance region.
Following the studio period, artists will present resulting or further developed work in the vaulted cellar of the Kulturzentrum am Münster in Konstanz, with the exhibition running from June to September 2027. A budget for exhibition implementation is agreed individually with each artist.
Artists are also invited to shape a public accompanying programme — this could take the form of an artist talk, open studio, workshop, or panel discussion.
