3 writing prizes are open for New Zealand and Australian artists, and the next to close is Adam NZ Play Award 2026 on 1 December 2026. The list is updated weekly.
Some listings are open internationally and some are for residents only. Each listing states who can apply.
Prizes offer something grants generally cannot: money without an acquittal, plus the visibility of a shortlist, an exhibition, and a public announcement.
