Starling Magazine
Starling Magazine welcomes submissions of poetry, creative nonfiction, short fiction, and hybrid work from writers worldwide. The publication features emerging and established voices in contemporary literature.
Starling is a twice-yearly literary journal (published in February and August) dedicated to showcasing the work of New Zealand writers under 25 years old at the time of submission. All contributors paid a modest publication fee, dependent on continued funding.

Prose: Send up to two pieces (maximum 5,000 words each). This can include short stories, creative non-fiction, personal essays, or anything else you can surprise the editors with.
Originality: Material must not have been published elsewhere in any form.
Simultaneous Submissions: Allowed, provided you notify the editors as soon as possible if your work is accepted by another outlet.
