The Meteor Theatre in Hamilton is accepting submissions for their 2027 programme, with event dates available from January through to July. Whether you're planning an intimate workshop or a large-scale theatrical production, they want to hear from you.
Venues available include
The Black Box Theatre – A fully flexible 21m x 17m x 5m black box space with no fixed stage or seating. Standard configuration seats 114, expandable to 176 (additional cost applies), and licensed for up to 350 standing for music events. Moveable seating blocks allow for cabaret, in-the-round, and other configurations. Experienced technicians available at $48 + GST per hour.
The Nancy Caiger Gallery – A light-filled exhibition space open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am–2pm. Seats up to 100 or 130 for cocktail-style functions. Suitable for traditional exhibitions, immersive experiences, music events, and panel discussions. Artists wishing to exhibit should download the exhibition guide from the Resources tab and submit a proposal.
The Creative Lounge – A versatile space for smaller events and gatherings.
They're looking for ticketed performances, free events, staged readings, exhibitions, wānanga, workshops, and more — big or small, traditional or experimental.
