Fully funded one-month residency in Italy for up to 4 international artists exploring experimental music, sound art, and performance.
Villa Filanda Antonini invites artists, performers, curators, designers, and other creative professionals from outside Italy to apply for its Spring 2027 residency programme, themed "Sonic Connections".
Up to four international residents will spend the month of March 2027 at Villa Filanda Antonini — a beautifully repurposed former silk mill in Villorba, near Treviso in northern Italy. The residency brings together a small group of practitioners to explore the intersections of architecture, landscape, and collective sonic experience, with a focus on experimental music, sound art, and live performance.
This is a fully funded opportunity covering mentoring, accommodation, travel costs, production costs, and a daily salary — meaning you can focus entirely on making work.
Applicants should submit an application form along with a CV, portfolio, project proposal, and a letter of reference.
The VFA residency programme has been selected under conditions by Culture Moves Europe, a project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.
Deadline: 19 July 2026, 23:59 CEST.
