Waitaki District Council / Creative New Zealand
Community arts grants for Waitaki District projects that encourage participation, celebrate diversity, or engage young people in the arts.
The Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) is a national programme delivered locally, connecting Creative New Zealand funding with communities through local councils. In the Waitaki District, funding decisions are made by a local assessment panel that reflects the community.
This grant supports art projects that do at least one of the following:
Your project must also take place within the Waitaki District, be completed within 12 months of funding approval, and benefit local communities. Projects cannot have started or finished before CCS funding is approved, and cannot have already received funding through other Creative New Zealand programmes.
Who can apply?
Individuals (NZ citizens or permanent residents) and groups are both eligible. If you've previously received CCS funding, you'll need to have submitted a completion report before applying again (unless that project is still in progress).
How to apply:
Applications can be submitted online via the Creative Communities Grant Online Application form on the Waitaki District Council website, or by completing a printable PDF application form and emailing it to grantsadmin@waitaki.govt.nz.
