Passage (With and Without You) is a constructed painting recording 27,000 kilometres driven between Hamilton and Auckland to remain present in my daughter's life. The 9×9 grid contains 81 marks per cell, each representing 10 kilometres. 36 cells are completed; the remaining 45 are displaced by the painted figure. The sale price of $8,125 is derived from the cost of this travel. Acrylic and oil on MDF panel, 900 × 900 mm. Completed June 2026.
