With Patronage
I’m an artist and creative strategist working across art, architecture and the built environment. I work with developers, organisations and communities to identify where creative work can contribute to a place, then help bring those ideas into the world through artists, commissions and creative programmes. I’m also building Patronage, a platform connecting artists with funding, commissions and the people who support their work.
An open-call stamp issue for emerging New Zealand artists, built around one idea: a stamp worthy of the letters people actually keep. Four artists, four stamps, a limited print release, and a bespoke frame whose scalloped edge echoes the perforation of a stamp. NZ Post passed — their programme is theme-led and works with designers tied to each theme, which is fair enough. But the concept stands on its own, so here it is. The frame isn't fully developed, but is my favourite part.
