Photo Shoot: 2026

Black Box Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit work for Photo Shoot: 2026, an open-themed juried group exhibition. All styles, genres, and subjects are welcome — landscape, architecture, portraiture, documentary, fashion, still life, conceptual, street, colour, black and white, nature, night photography, and more.

The juror, Todd Johnson (MFA Photography, San Francisco Art Institute), will select 26 photographs for exhibition in the physical gallery space, and an additional 50 for the online gallery annex. All 76 selected works will be included in a printed catalogue available via Blurb Books.

Free printing, matting & framing: Black Box Gallery provides complimentary custom printing on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer using Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper, along with free matting and framing for all selected works. Selected photographers simply supply a high-resolution TIFF or JPEG file.

After the exhibition, gallery prints are kept in flat files for up to two years for ongoing promotion to collectors, curators, and the public. All rights remain with the photographer — no print will be sold or reproduced without prior consent. Gallery commission on sales is 50/50; artists may also choose to mark their work as not for sale.

File specs: JPEG, 1200px on longest side, 72 PPI, 5 MB or less. Name files: firstname_lastname1.jpg, etc.

All photographers — amateur and professional — are eligible worldwide. Notification of selections will be sent 7–10 days after the deadline.

Exhibition dates: 1–25 July 2026.
