International open call for artists and creatives to present work via YouTube live event, group exhibition in Korea, and publication.
Art in Action 2027 invites artists, performers, designers, researchers, and creative professionals from around the world to participate in a multi-strand event hosted by CICA Museum in Korea.
The programme has three components
Art in Action: Live 2027 – A one-day YouTube live-streaming event on 10 January 2027. Each presenter submits a 10-minute pre-recorded video (artist talk, performance, experimental workshop, or project documentation), followed by a live Q&A session of around 20 minutes with 4–6 presenters per session.
Art in Action: Concurrent Show 2027 – A group exhibition at CICA Museum running 23 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. Artists may show up to two works. CICA Museum staff handle installation. Photographs and 2D digital works are printed and framed by the museum; video and interactive works can use museum projectors and players; physical works must be shipped by the artist at their own cost. Size limits apply (2D works up to 39 inches on longest side; installation up to 1 × 1 × 2 m).
Publication – Selected presenters will be featured in *New Media Art 2028*, a full-colour paperback expected in December 2027.
How to apply: Email submission@cicamuseum.com with (1) a link to a 3-minute proposal video explaining your project, and (2) a short bio. Use the subject line: *Submission: Art in Action 2027 – Presenter's Name*.
If accepted, participants pay a $30 USD event registration fee plus $78 USD (or ₩110,000 KRW) per work for exhibition processing and maintenance.
