International open call for abstract art across painting, sculpture, photography, digital, video and installation — exhibited at CICA Museum in South Korea.
CICA Museum invites artists from around the world to submit work for *Abstract Mind 2027*, the 12th International Exhibition on Abstract Art, running 19 May – 13 June 2027.
This exhibition welcomes works that explore abstraction, Abstractivism, and the expression of the mind and abstract concepts. You can submit across four categories:
How your work will be shown:
*Photography & 2D Digital Art:* Selected works will be printed at 10×15 or 10×10 inches, framed, and installed by CICA's curatorial team. Larger print sizes are available on request; additional fees may apply.
*Video & Interactive Art:* Projectors and DVD/DIVX players are provided. Multiple single-channel works may be screened together. Works requiring exclusive projector use or multiple screens should note this in your submission; additional fees may apply.
*Painting, Sculpture & Installation:* Artists are responsible for shipping physical works to and from CICA Museum. 2D works must not exceed 1 m on the longest side; installations must be no larger than 1×1×2 m (W×L×H); wall-mounted works must be under 10 kg. Contact the museum if your work exceeds these limits.
To apply: Email up to 3 video links and/or up to 5 JPG images (100–500 KB recommended), plus your bio, to cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com. Use the subject line: *Submission: Abstract Mind 2027 – [Category] – [Artist's Name]*.
If selected, artists contribute $78 USD (or 110,000 KRW) per work toward exhibition processing and maintenance to confirm participation.
