Permanent EA role supporting the Chief Executive and Arts Council of Creative New Zealand, based in Auckland or Wellington.
Creative New Zealand (CNZ) is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive and Arts Council in delivering effective leadership and governance across the organisation.
This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based in either Auckland or Wellington, with some flexibility in how you work. You'll be a trusted right-hand person at the executive level — managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing governance papers and minutes, and ensuring information flows smoothly across CNZ's leadership and council functions.
You'll work closely with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, Council, and Committees, as well as building relationships across the wider arts sector. Your work will directly enable informed decision-making and strong organisational performance.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring proven executive support experience at a senior or CE level, alongside solid governance and committee administration skills. You'll be highly organised, discreet with confidential information, and confident using Microsoft 365 and digital tools. Strong communication and relationship skills are essential, as is an understanding of te ao Māori and a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
Applications are reviewed as they come in, so early applications are encouraged. You must be a New Zealand citizen or resident, or hold a valid work visa.
