Permanent senior policy role at Creative NZ, leading organisational performance, accountability, and governance functions. Based in Wellington or Auckland.
Creative New Zealand is looking for an experienced policy and governance professional to lead its organisational performance and accountability functions in a permanent role based in Wellington or Auckland.
As Lead Adviser – Policy, Performance and Governance, you'll work at the heart of CNZ's strategic operations, supporting senior leaders and kaimahi to meet public sector obligations and deliver meaningful insights that drive decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating organisational planning and performance reporting, leading Crown entity accountability and statutory reporting processes (including SOIs, SPEs, and Annual Reports), and managing ministerial, parliamentary, and OIA/Privacy Act workflows. You'll also oversee governance and compliance processes and help maintain strong relationships with government and monitoring agencies.
The ideal candidate brings solid public sector or Crown entity experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and sound knowledge of government and parliamentary processes. An understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to work effectively across diverse communities, are important to this role.
To apply, you must be a New Zealand citizen or resident, or hold a valid work visa. Applications are reviewed as they come in, so early applications are encouraged.
