Build and grow strategic relationships to strengthen Pacific arts investment and community outcomes across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Creative New Zealand is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Adviser – Pacific to help shape the future of Pacific arts in Aotearoa and beyond. This role sits within the framework of Creative New Zealand's Pacific Arts Strategy and the long-term vision of Tu Mai Rā 2040.
You'll be at the heart of building influential relationships across Pacific communities, government, philanthropy, and the wider arts sector — identifying co-funding opportunities, driving collaborative programmes, and championing Pacific values and voices at every level.
Day to day, you'll grow strategic partnerships that unlock investment and create lasting impact for Pacific artists and communities; contribute to partnership agreements and governance processes; and use sector knowledge and insights to influence decisions and identify new opportunities — in Aotearoa, across the Pacific, and internationally.
The ideal candidate brings at least five years' experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, community development, or investment-focused roles, along with established networks in the Pacific arts community. A strong understanding and respect of Pacific cultures and contexts is essential, as is an appreciation of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
To apply, you must be a New Zealand citizen or resident, or hold a valid visa with the right to work in Aotearoa. Candidates are reviewed as applications come in, so early applications are encouraged.
