Permanent role at Creative New Zealand leading philanthropic and commercial partnerships to grow arts investment across Aotearoa. Based in Wellington or Aucklan
Creative New Zealand is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Lead Adviser to help grow and diversify investment in the arts across Aotearoa. This is a permanent role with the flexibility to be based in either Wellington or Auckland.
In this position, you'll play a central role in developing sustainable revenue streams and high-value relationships that support CNZ's long-term strategic priorities. You'll work alongside colleagues and external partners to identify philanthropic, sponsorship, and investment opportunities, develop compelling funding proposals and business cases, and manage funding pipelines and stewardship activities.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, sponsorship, or business development — along with a strong track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, individual donors, or corporate sponsors. You'll have sharp commercial acumen, well-established networks in the funding and philanthropic sectors, and the ability to engage effectively with diverse and creative communities.
An understanding of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential, as is the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Candidates are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged. You must be a New Zealand citizen or resident, or hold a valid work visa.
