International residency programme at Singapore Art Museum offering artist, curatorial, and community/education residencies from June 2027 to December 2028.
Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is inviting applications for the fourth cycle of its international residency programme, running from June 2027 to December 2028.
Since launching in 2021, SAM Residencies has welcomed over 80 residents from 35 countries to its post-industrial warehouse spaces at Tanjong Pagar Distripark. The programme provides a space for artistic incubation, drawing on SAM's networks and resources to support experimentation, creative development, and international exchange.
Three thematic strands shape Cycle 4:
Applicants are encouraged to interpret these themes in relation to their own practice.
Three residency tracks are available:
The programme is open to individuals, duos, and collectives across all mediums and disciplines. International applicants may apply for residencies of one to three months; Singapore-based applicants may apply for up to six months.
Residents pursue independent research and are encouraged to engage with local communities and share work in progress through open studios, screenings, workshops, talks, and other experimental public formats.
Applications are assessed by an international panel of respected voices in contemporary art and practice.
