Open call for exhibition proposals at two Innsbruck galleries for the 2027 annual programme themed around democracy, misogyny, and anti-modern backlash.
The Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol (kuveti) invites artists and curators from all disciplines and backgrounds worldwide to submit exhibition proposals for their 2027 annual programme, themed Thresholds.
The theme responds to a cultural and political moment in which complexity is met with retreat — into conservatism, authoritarianism, and misogyny. The programme seeks artistic positions and exhibitions that explore counter-models, counter-cultural dynamics, and alternative strategies in the face of this anti-modern backlash. Keywords: democracy – complexity – flash crash – anti-modern tendencies – misogyny.
