NZ Art Show
Free exhibition opportunity at the 2027 NZ Art Show in Wellington for artists aged 25 and under, with $1,000 in awards up for grabs.
The BFS Next Generation Artists programme is a free exhibition opportunity for artists aged 25 and under — whether you're still at secondary school, studying at tertiary level, freshly graduated, or entirely self-taught.
Selected artists will exhibit, sell, and be discovered at the 2027 NZ Art Show in Wellington, running 4–6 June 2027. There's no exhibition fee to participate, and selected artists are eligible for $1,000 in awards.
The selectors aren't looking for a polished CV, gallery representation, or an extensive exhibition history. They want to see original ideas, an emerging creative voice, and genuine potential — wherever you are in your artistic journey.
Applications open 1 October 2026 and close 27 February 2027. Selections happen on a rolling basis throughout the application period, so applying early is encouraged.
