Free global photography competition for series of 5–10 images across any category, with finalists and winners announced in April 2027.
The Sony World Photography Awards Series competition celebrates outstanding photographic projects and narrative excellence. Submit a cohesive body of work — between five and ten images — alongside a written series description that contextualises your project.
The competition is free to enter and open to all photographers aged 18 and over, anywhere in the world. You can enter multiple categories, and you may also enter the Single Image competition separately, provided the work comes from a different body of work.
Eligibility and image criteria:
Manipulation is permitted, but must be described in the submission. All entries must originate from an analogue or digital photograph — computer-generated imagery cannot be the origin of an entry.
Timeline:
Up to three finalists and a shortlist of up to seven photographers per category will be selected. Winners retain full copyright of their work. The World Photography Organisation is granted a non-exclusive licence to use selected images for promotional and exhibition purposes for up to three years after April 2027, with credit always given to the photographer.
